How to enrol

Step 1: Your Child turns 2

BKCES will accept applications any time after a child’s second birthday. Closing dates for 3 year old and 4 year old kindergarten is the last day of Term 2 in the year preceding attendance. Enrolment forms can be submitted after this date but will not form part of the first round offers.

Step 2: Enrol Online

Summerhill Park Kindergarten’s enrolment procedure is a part of the Boroondara Kindergarten Central Enrolment Scheme (BKCES). Applications for our kindergarten can be made by completing the application form in the Central Enrolment Scheme booklet, available through the kindergarten or the City of Boroondara. Step 3: Accept your place

Offers of places in the 3 year old programs and the funded 4 year old programs will be made by BKCES from the fourth Friday in July in the year preceding attendance. Second round offers will be posted two weeks after first round offers. Subsequent offers will be made as positions become available.

Step 4: Orientation

Successful applicants will  beinvited to collected their Parent Information Packs and make an interview time for orientation sessions as part of the AGM in November. This pack contains forms that must be completed prior to attending the first day of orientation.

Please note: under the proposed State Government ‘No Jab, No Play’ legislation coming into effect on 1 January 2016 all parents/guardians seeking to enrol their child in an early childhood service in Victoria will be required to provide evidence that the child is immunised appropriately or have a medical exemption. Please click here for further information
